Hello and Welcome!
I’m so happy you stopped by! I’m Sacha or as my love calls me, Peony.
This blog will host a variety of recipes that are near and dear to my kitchen. I’m largely inspired by local, seasonal ingredients and my travels abroad. Along with recipes I will also be sharing my favorite tips & tricks on how to get the very most out of your food, letting little go to waste.
I want the peony life to be super easy to navigate so you can find exactly what you want, quickly. Please let me know if you have any suggestions on how to make the site more user friendly. I’m always open to feedback!
I spend half of the month traveling and working as a flight attendant. Sleeping in different hotels every night, adjusting to different time zones and eating in restaurants more often than I would like. I absolutely love my job but it’s definitely made me relish my time at home, especially in my kitchen.
When I’m not away flying the friendly skies you will often find me in the kitchen experimenting (usually with a glass of vino). A relaxing day to me would be browsing the farmers market in San Francisco for whats best that day, combing through cookbooks at a used bookstore or experimenting with food photography.
Cooking for me is about much more than just eating. It’s about connecting with my family & friends over a delicious meal, made from a place of love. Its how I like to show others I care for them, by cooking for them and being present during our time together. I promise you will not leave my house hungry or thirsty!
Some of my most fond and cherished memories took place in the kitchen or at the dinner table. From my parents dancing with each other as they made dinner to the first meal I ever made for my now husband.
This blog reminds me to take time to connect and create new memories. I hope this blog inspires you to do the same and to a few risks in the kitchen.
I invite you to explore my blog and try some of the recipes I’ve curated especially for you. I hope my adventures at thepeonylife.com help to spark your own culinary journey!
Much Love + Keep in touch!
xx
